I found a picture of how my rabbit looked before I got it, see below.

New stuff

13"x7" schmidt modern lines and mk2 recaros. Test fit the wheels today and they don't clear the brake caliper. Got the seats in, the cloth and bolsters will be great, the grey and brown mismatch is an unfortunate reality for now.

Fixes so far

holey fuel line replaced, now it starts after sitting for a few days
new fuel filter
new front wheel bearings
fixed gauge face

Aquired a diesel rabbit

Found a local '78 Diesel rabbit that needed a new home. Bought her on the 4th of July, '08

Previous owner thought orange steelies, flat black hood and 2 tones was where it's at. I buffed the 2 tone overspray mostly off and "fixed" the steelies. Here she is shortly after arriving at the shop.
